One-of-a-kind antique cupola with a giant weathervane. Over the years, we have discovered and rescued (from very high up) similar units. Folks position them somewhere on their grounds, first building a basic foundation of cinder block. The higher the foundation, the more dramatic the finished product. Then, they encircle everything, in their choice of a shrubbery, high enough to hide the "block" foundation. Then, they repeat this encircling with a lower ring of another kind of shrub. This can be repeated however many times, and then ending with the lowest ring of colorful annuals. Love it! You now have a living antique work of art in your garden.
It is 5 feet, 3 inches square at the base, and 14 feet, 3 inches to the top. For having sat up so high on that fabulous mansion for almost 90 years, it is in EXCELLENT condition. There is VERY minor bee borings on one side of the wood cupola. A very quick and simple repair. $25,000.
